Mini-Books.
In 2019, we started a project called Mini-Books.
The idea was to have our clients record or write their own stories and send them to us. We would then take on the responsibility of editing, illustrating, designing, printing, and distributing their stories.
This model suited clients who were a little more private and did not want Plantain to come into their homes and record them, for instance. But it also served other clients, such as those who enjoyed doing their own interviews and writing.
Mini-Books have been an exciting experience for us at Plantain, where we are so used to being involved at every stage of a book's process—from crafting bespoke interviews to finding customised printing solutions.
Here is a selection of the mini-books we have created thus far, and we thank all the families who entrusted us with their stories!
